ANA ZAMBRANO - NIDO TEACHER
Ana is toddler teacher with specialization in Pikler methodology in caring and free movement (self-induced motricity).
She has worked in Kindergartens and school canteens, but the best of his experience has come from home caring.
Ana is quiet and likes to enjoy little things: a walk along the sea, an afternoon movie or a good book,
but especially the company of his daughter born in 2018.

Elisa is infant teacher and Montessori Guide, although she also has training in Pikler
methodology in care and free movement (self-induced motricity). She has worked in several kindergartens. She is a
passionate about history in general and the history of education particularly, combines constant training and research
with classical dance, reading and hiking.
Born in Gelida, she is a mother of two girls born in 2011 and 2015.
Gemma is infant teacher and Montessori Guide 0-6 years. She has also studied
a master's degree in Montessori pedagogy.
Gemma firmly believes in the power of education to change the world as well as in another way to
educate children, respectful and based on their needs and individual interest. She has worked in kindergartens,
and has started a Montessori educational center in Barcelona.
Gemma likes to spend time with family, read and walk by the sea.
Born in Llorenç del Penedès, she is the mother of a 2018 girl.
Begoña is elementary teacher specialized in music and Elementary 6-12 Montessori
Guide. She has the Montessori master by the University of Barcelona and the International Montessori Institute.
Her first contact with the Montessori method began with the birth of her first daughter in 2007. If she could
define what it is for her Montessori in one phrase she would say: "For the children, always the best".
The five years prior to its incorporation to Montessori Subirats has worked in public education as an
elementary and infant teacher and as a music specialist.

Adrià is infant teacher specialized in Pikler methodology. With more than ten years
of experience in which he has played all the teaching roles in the school and with almost all ages: school canteen
monitor, kindergarten assistant, infant, elementary and middle-school tutor, school coordinator and kindergarten
head of school. He has worked in schools with very different methodologies, observing and collecting the positive
aspects of each one.
Mountains fan from young, he was also leisure and hiking monitor for 6 years with different groups of children
and teens between 5 and 18 years old.
Throughout all these formal and non-formal education experiences, he have known first hand and has been involved
in projects of traditional school, free education, self-taught education and Pikler based kindergartens. This has
given him an overview of the entire educational process and the ability to assess the importance of each stage and
of each adult involved in the education of a person.
Born in Barcelona, is father of a girl (2009) and a boy (2013) and lives in Gelida since 2008.
Vania has been an English teacher since 2003, with a constructivist and Montessori
training, has worked in Children's House and Elementary classes.
She will team up with Gemma. She is positive, calm and willing to collaborate.
Translator, lover of cats and good music likes to spend time with family and surrounded by nature.
Born in Mexico and mother of two, a 5 and 10 year old girls.
ELEMENTARY ENGLISH TEACHER
Damien has 10 year experience teaching English as a second language to a
wide variety age groups and six of those dedicated to higher primary in Escola Jacint Verdaguer.
He spent some years in summer camps as a teacher and monitor in Lope de Vega in Benidorm with groups
of up to eighty children. He has also taught extracurricular classes in such schools as Baltà i Elias
in Vilafranca, Llebeig in Vilobí, and Les Fonts in Gelida. In 2014 he opened
Speak Idiomes, his own language
school in Sant Sadurní where he currently resides.
Born and bred in Adelaide, Australia. He is a father of two, a six year old girl and a three year old boy.
PSYCHOLOGIST OF REFERENCE
Clara is educational psychologist and psychopedagogist. She started her studies in
Barcelona and later she specialised in Educational Psychology in Poland, in diversities
in youth care in The Netherlands and in Gifted Education in The Netherlands and The
Canary Islands. She has worked in Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal and Ireland. She
has participated in different research teams; currently she is a member of the
giftedness research team in COPC (Catalan Psychology association) and she’s
studying neuropsychology of education.
At the beginning of 2019 she created SeiLá, a modern concept in the field of
psychology and education, with the aim of giving an answer to children and teenagers
with learning difficulties, motivation, insecurities… guiding and working closely with
From Clara’s personal traits, we can highlight her passion for the leisure
education, collaborating with several summer camps. People who have worked with
her consider that she is positive and resilient, displaying critical vision. Additionally, she
is very responsible with her mission as a psychologist.
MIQUEL MONERA -
Born in Barcelona, he lives in Vilafranca del Penedès since 1991.
He studied for chef at Joan Ramon Benaprès Institute in Sitges.
He has worked in many restaurants around El Penedès and El Garraf.
He is always betting on products of proximity and quality.
Montessori Subirats is an educational project whose goal is to create a school to respond to the growing
demand for innovative schools that has taken place in recent years in Catalonia.
It is a school managed by the Ales i Arrels Foundation, with an offer ranging from 6 months to 18 years,
including the artistic high school. Teaching is bilingual in Catalan and English from 18 months.
The Ales i Arrels Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to create new educational
centers that respond to the needs of children of XXI century, promote the research and development of new forms
of education and provide training in the educational field for professionals as well as for families.
